2011 and 2013 USA Team Selection Program Participants

 

The program survey was mailed on Monday and should be in your mailboxes within a day or two.  If you don’t receive one, please let me know.  For simplification, the Team Selection Program and Finals questionnaires have been combined into one.  You can fill it out and mail it back to AMA in the pre-addressed, postage-paid envelope or you can just email me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and I will send you an electronic copy.   Please remit your questionnaires by Friday, December 14th toallow time for your input to be compiled and reviewed by the committee in preparation for the in-person meeting.  Your thoughts and input is very important.

AZ action

On December 1 and 2 the Arizona Championships will be held in Eloy, Arizona. This is the last America's Cup and National Cup contest west of the Mississippi for the year 2012. There are AMA, NFFS, SAM, and FAI events. To download the 2 fliers for the AZ Champs go to  http://www.freeflight.org/Competition/Calendar.htm  and click on the blue "Arizona Championships". On the field in Eloy it should be cool in the mornings but will warm up to about 70° during the day.

Like last year we will start flying western half of our south field. We have restrictions because of crops planted around our field. To respect these restrictions we will have to move the flight line during the day depending on the wind direction. Parking will be determined as we get closer to the weekend. For information on the 3-day 2012 Southwest Regional Model Airplane Championships on January 19-21 go to  http://aalmps.com/13info.htm  - please use the Entry Forms to pre-enter. This will be the 63rd SWR!

Motorcycle flapping or circling with a motorcycle under a model will not be tolerated at the two meets. Also, glider towing through the flight lines of other events and through the parking area is not ok. Both are unsafe practices.
