    September Contests

    Free Flight Friends,

Some updates on upcoming meets.  It is a great time for Free Flight activity.  I know some of you are competing this weekend at meets in Camp Borden, Canada, Denver, CO, Palm Bay, FL, or in Muncie, IN (per the master calendar at freeflight.org)

The Wilbur and Orville club (of New Haven, CT) has two upcoming meets they are hosting at Barron Field in Wawayanda, NY (near Middletown, NY). Next week (Sept 12-13) is their first America's Cup meet (as previously announced in the Scat Electronic News). It is well-deserved opportunity to play a role in picking the nations best.  This W&O fall meet has flying opportunities in FAI, AMA, and Nostalgia events, including glider, power, rubber, and electric free flight events. The AMA and Nostalgia flying counts also for National Cup status. The schedule of events is in the attached word file from CD Art Ellis.

Fliers in the East should take note note not only of this September W&O meet, but also that there the Skyscraper Monthly October 10 and an additional W&O meet October 17-18 (also National Cup).

Tom Hallman's big annual FAC meet is on October 24-25, also at Barron Field.  It is now the 10th annual of this meet, attracting fun FAC fliers from all over.  I've had a blast helping retrieve their small thermalling models on our resident Golf Carts.  For directions to the field and hotels in the Middletown, NY area click on directions at the site ww.brooklynskyscrapers.org/calender.html

Plus there is the Eastern U.S. Freeflight champ, with Dave Lacey as contest director, at Higgs Farm, near Chestertown, MD on November 7-8, also an America's Cup meet.  Overall, for decades, the EUSFFC has been the signature meet in the East.  We are thankful for the many years of leadership by Tom Kerr and wish it well under Dave's able hands.

FAI fliers around the country should take note of the opportunity to sign up for the open FAI free flight team selection program.  Program entry for those age 24 and under is $25 now to the AMA, by calling Colleen Pierce at 765-287-1206, ext.252, plus $50 later if you are able to go to the finals.  It is $75 program entry for us older-folks (we 25 and older fliers have to have an additional financial seriousness as the subsequent fee for finals entry is set high enough to help pay for the team going to the WC).  When you contact Colleen, ask for a copy of the program as well.

Now is a good time to enter.  Indeed, the usual path to the finals involves accumulating 75 minutes of contest flight time at least four-five days prior to the finals.  The current finals proposals being reviewed by the TSC are for either June 29-July 1 (Muncie) or for the end of Sept (Lost Hills); so this fall's contest schedule will get you a leg up on accumulating sufficient minutes.  Let your district team selection rep know if you are thinking to sign up now (if you don't know who it is, let me know and I will forward the particulars) as he will value your input and involvement.

    Many Thermals,
    Andrew Barron

please, excuse my bad English. I have found a Motorsegler at the river Rhine in Bonn on 29.8 in Bonn. T

    his has the following entries:M. Pierre MarrotID: 0671 111 56171 11 15 61 0143 28 50 50

It is well the owner and the aircraft identification. I cannot put the further numeros in order.

Now I have browsed in the internet and found the name and the aircraft type on her side.

It would be terrific now if you could make a connection. You have provided the address of the aircraft owner. with best regards

    S. Gatz
