I have a number of timers suitable for NOS FAI Power.
They are the same ones that are used for F1J and have multi-functions plus instant start button. I just received a shipment of 10 of these, so they are available right now. The weight is about 20 grams (.75 ounce), and it is an integrated timer with everything on the face plate. It is used with a line from the timer to either a pinch off or a flood off to shut off the engine.

The cost at this time is $70.00 each.
The nice thing is that you can use these timers no matter what the vintage of model. Starting from the simplest being engine shutoff and DT with instant start upon launch.
More advanced, you could use the above functions plus VIT and auto rudder for the later models.
The timer also has a bunt function, which of course won't be used on these models, but could be used on the AMA power events also.
