Hi Roger,
I plan to attend the Max Men contest in Feburary. I am looking for someone
to share a car rental 17-20 Feb. I will arrive at LAX around noon on the
17th and return to the vacinity of LAX the evening of the 20th. I would be
willing to stick around the airport for a few hours if someone was arriving
mid-afternoon.
Thanks,
Ed Wiley

Hi Roger,
Norm is correct. We had a power failure and my computer lost its date and
thought it was 1944. It seems to be OK after the year 2000 was put in. I
think it was a coincidence and not a true Y2K problem.
Peter, your analysis is right on.
Just to change the subject from BOM:
Please help to educate me on airfoil seledtion for Coupe so that I might at
least know why I am copying a given airfoil.
How would the best airfoil for a large quiet air Coupe differ from the
airfoil of a good Wakefield airfoil? The Coupe Renolds number is lower 25000
vrs 38000. Should the camber be lower? Is the thinnest possible best?
Should the high point of the camber be at 40% or 60%? Are these things
known? Are they secrets? What other factors should be considerd?
Turbulators? If so, how high and where? It is necessary to make compromises
in glide for the climb? What are the tradeoffs? Who are the best
authorities on the subject? Andre? Peter? Bob? Hank? Others?
your friend,
