Sam Champs will be in Las Vegas in mid to late October 2001--we're having
some h oohah with the hotel, so it's in a two week window--really think we
will wind up with last week in October, but it may get moved a week back into
third week in October.

Hello,
I am student doing a project on propellers. i was wondering if there is
an advantage to having the propeller in front of the airplane pulling the
aircraft... or having the propeller behind the plane pushing it. If you
could recommend some books or journals it would help a lot. Thanks

I am looking for a model of the Bell produced V-22. I was told you are the
company that would have this. If so, will you please tell me how to find it
on you website, how to get one, the cost, etc. I seem to just go in circles
on your website. If you are the company that I am look for, please respond
immediately as I am trying to help a third party.
Thank you.

Dennis Matsuda---Toshi's Son?

Dave,
It's possible that this could be Toshi (deceased) Matsuda's son. They flew
freeflight in the Southern California area for many years. I would put his
age now to be close to fifty since he was a young teenager in the early to
mid sixties.
Many free flighters would remember Toshi as a wonderful builder and flier
and I am sure this was passed on to his son as well.
I am hoping that the SCAT readers can place a tracer for you. In fact, I
know that Sal Taibi and others that are still competitive may know how to
reach him, especially through an electronic search.
Good Luck Fred T.

Brian van Nest got the gold as the sun set over the McCullough Range, beating
Martyn Cowley in the NINE Minute Flyoff Round!!!
BVN did over 4 min to MC's 2:27. That was their 12th flight of the comp!
My question:
Who was left on the field to timekeep and witness this super spectacle?
Ciao, Lee
(PS: MC sent me the final results)
[Did this break Martyn's national record ?]
