Unlatch tension for F1H

Can people suggest a range of unlatch tension for an F1H.
I have a new model (a very basic thermal zoomer, no bunt, no VIT, no W.W.
etc). and on the first test session I had trouble unlatching.
Getting home I measured the unlatch at 3.7 kg ( sorry dont know what that is
in American) and this seems like a lot to me , but I dont really know.
(I could change the hook angle / CG etc to get it pull harder, but that part
seems about right.)
I have a week to get this model fully sorted for the Nats so I would
appreciate any advice from people out there who know about these things.
thanks for your help

Rubber stretch.

I have 8 hooks fitted to the bullbar on my old Landrover.
8 hooks fitted to the side of my cattle crush.
I load 8 F.1B motors ,back the Landrover till the rubber is stretched 8
times slack lenght.
How do I calculate creep?
I'm a chad confused
Adrian Bryant
[Adrian, the cattle part is OK, the problem is the Land Rover.
Clearly for the sportsman who has everything, a Hummer is required.
The Land Rover and Jeep are seriously no longer fashionable.
However even with a Land Rover if you put it in low range
you should be able to stretch it more that 8 times the original
length.
In addition I believe it is not necessary to calaculate creep
rather creeps calculate.]

Roger,
To answer Jorgen Korsgaard inquiry, try FAI Model Supply for a "Gizmogeer"
P-30 propeller clutch. I have not tried one myself but use a 1/16" wheel
collar on the front of the thrust hook shaft. The collar is carved to match
the the clutch geometry on the propeller. The prop is drilled to a 3/32"
shaft hole and a brass tubing collar is inserted to provide a bearing for
free-wheeling. The 1/16" shaft has a notch where the wheel collar clutch
set-screw can seat withouth slipping off. This arrangement solved all the
hang up and binding problems I used to have with a free-wheeler and besides,
makes it easy to replace a broken prop. I use a brass bearing because once
I had the unlined plastic hole melt from the friction on the shaft while
free-wheeling. The design is not mine, but I can't remember who first
described it.
