America's Cup Banquet Update
=======================

Currently have 120 Banquet sign ups although several SCAT people have
not yet reserved. Not to mention names but Weiler and Hines may be
eating at Carl's Jr on Saturday nite. [I think the room capacity is about
150-160]

HELP Needed
===========
We've asked Dave Roundsaville to provide entertainment at the end of the
Banquet. Does anyone have access to and willing to set-up a 2
microphones (voice and acoustic guitar)? Please contact Jim Parker.

.. email from Rocket Ron's Nordic cafe

Roger
I have agreed to demonstrate the timer/controller of Ari
Sinisalo of Finland at the timer seminar. One stumbling block is the
delivery of the timers in time :) and the other is that I do not have a
portable that is running win95, which is required to run the setup software.
If you could see that this info gets to the right people perhaps we could
arange a solution for the win 95 dilema.

With reference to the Eastern Free Flight Champs

Alan Abriss reports ..
The 15th Annual Eastern US Free Flight Championships will be held April
25 & 26 at Tom Higgs Farm in Ingleside, MD. The flying site is about
5000 acres. Larger than Galeville from what I've been told.

All AMA , FAI and some Nostalgia events will be flown. Plus "one
design" events.

For a contest flier please call or email Tom Kerr at: 410-778-4939
email: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or Joe Wagner at: 410-778-3933
Tom and Joe are the Contest Directors.

All the events are listed in the flier plus a map to the site and nearby
hotels.

This is the biggest Free Flight event on the East Coast. Lets make it
bigger by having an even larger turnout. Please attend, and pass the word
around to all your non email friends.

With reference to this contest the America's Commitee reports ..
We have been working this with Tom Kerr. The contest flyer did not have
the Open FAI events in rounds and F1C with 7 sec engine runs. We have
agreed to grant them "provisional" AmCup status this year but need to have
the contest run to full FAI rules for future AmCup. We're leaning over
backward to accomodate the Eastern situation. [Caused by loss of
Galeville and Camp Borden]

We've also granted Am Cup status to the Oregon contest in Aug but only
for the Mini Events per their request. This fills in the Open only contest
that Gibbons runs in Denver over the July 4 weekend.
