Lost Hills for Isaacson Winter Classic this week end.
====================================================

Firstly as I write this the weather forecast is only a possiblity of light
showers on Saturday. The forecast otherwise is OK.

Secondly as we reported here last November. There are [at least] two
ways to get on and off the field at Lost Hills that do not involve passing
through the gypsum vein. There is a strip of gypsum that runs parallel with
Holloway Road. The normal entrance road crosses this strip. This gets
very greasy when wet. [Rumored that Brian van Nest plans to finance his
trip to New Zealand by towing out cars with his fwd truck]. However the
original entrance to the field from highway 46 does not cross the gypsum.
It is about 2 miles [may be more] west of the Holloway Road turn off
along Hwy 46. This road may have some ruts with water in them but is is
not slippery. Also on Holloway Road past the normal entrance Holloway
Road veers to the west and effectively crosses the gypsum, there is
another entrance at that point. This entrance is a little less obvious.

When entering by the normal entrance if it is wet, avoid Hartill's Hole.
This is a spot on the left hand side of the road on the inside of corner as
the entrance road curves to the left. It is generally full of water, and now
has Inza Hartill's old car .. Bill had to buy her a new one after the
Patterson :-).
