----------------------------------------------------------------------
Roger,

I have reduced below the message I submitted last week
to focus on your FAI audience. Can you include it in the
SEN as a reminder of this America's Cup contest? It also gives
opportunity for ``Endless October.'' I am at Lost Hills now for World
Champs practice and will see many of you here as you arrive in
the next few days.

By the way, Earthlink has local numbers for internet access
from Lost Hills, Buttonwillow, Wasco, Taft, and Bakersfield.
Seeing this, I signed up with Earthlink last month, but
I still run everything through my Yale address once I am on.

Just bring meat to cook and maybe something to share- a salad, veggies,
drinks, etc.
Meet us at Pierre & Sylvia's Motorhome 5:00pm approx or after the

Looking forward to seeing all you there!!!! Let's show the
International Community how we Americans have a party.

Hi there, i wonder if any Scat readers out there can help me. I'm trying to
find a full size plan and/or magazine article for a 1/2a gas free flight
model called the "Pogo", designed by Gerald R. Zeigenfuse. Apparently this
model was published in Flying Models magazine around July 1958. If anyone
out there has a full size plan and/or article of this model, please email me
at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. (please remember the two underscores after wheels)

Thankyou & thermals

Win up to $1000 if you build the Stongest Light Weight Wings

We (CST The Composites Store) are going to try something new this year at
the AMA Convention in Pasadena in January and again at the Weak Signals Expo
in April. We are going to have a contest at each of these trade shows to
see who can build the strongest wing. On the last day of the trade show, we
will set up a three-point load tester in our booth and break wings and
measure the failure load. The rules for the contest are simple they are
spelled out on our web site, just follow this link.

http://www.cstsales.com/strongest_light_weight_wing_cont.htm

You don't have to be at the trade shows to win and we would like to get
entries from as many model builders as possible. So, start building now and
request an entry form from CST. The entry forms won't be available until 1
November because I am going to be at flying contests, but call our shop and
we will send you an entry form.

Hoosier Cup Results - September 29&30, Barron Field, Wawayanada, New
York

"At least we didn't have much rain" is the best you could say about the
weather for the weekend. The first two rounds on Saturday morning were
in the rain but proved to be the only rounds without howling winds.
After the third round on Saturday the rounds were postponed eventually
until 5PM when we were able to get in the fourth round. Sunday's
forecast was for five to ten MPH winds and was very wrong. Fifteen to
thirty was what occurred. We struggled through two more rounds before
canceling. All five rounds of the mini events were held on Sunday but
the attrition rate was high as you can tell by the scores.

The most notable aspect of the weekend was the large junior horde.
Eighteen fliers entered the "maxi" events - eight were juniors. Half the

Nordic fliers were juniors and three out of four in Wakefield. During
the postponement on Saturday all the adults sat around talking and
watching those crazy juniors flying anything they could get into the air

- all envious of the spontaneity of youth.
