Carbon Fiber Props
==================

Fred (THE PROP MAN) Ginder has been making carbon fiber and fiber glass
props for some time. These props have been so secessfull that many
fliers in free flight and RC have requested Fred to make more. These
props are hand layed and finished. Fred has sold many out at Lost Hills
and Taft fields. He is selling for a low cost of $1.00 an inch. These
means for example a 6" prop will cost $6.00. Anyone requesting more
information can e-mail Fred at my e-mail address which is

at Taft field last week was the best he's seen in a long time. The
prizes were distributed in a very fair manner, like the old Fresno
annuals. Author : Jim Kemp

I read your piece in today's electronic news about the contest at
Seguine. When the locals went to Seguine for a team selection finals eons
ago, the first word I
heard was that the wind blew hardily. I believe that Bob White bent the
front wheel of his bike
back to the axle after hitting a concrete block in the high grass. Ask him
about it sometime.

I have a fond feeling for Texans. My experience goes back to my first job
after graduating from college in 1950. Everyone I have met from Texas has
treated me well and friends were easily made and kept. A background statement.
At the World Championships in France (1987), teams and supporters were housed
in the second floor of a college - women on one end of the building and men
on the other. There was a main aisle and walls forming open ended
compartments holding 8 or 10 beds. Since so few signed up for accommodations
there, the organizers decided to put all in one end of the floor. Jean
objected to Pierre Chaussebourg who inturn directed one of the girls helping
with accommodations to show Jean the proctor's room that had only one bed and
a door. As we all got ready for sleeping, I noticed that Charlie's wife was
in my bay. I removed all clothes but my shorts and went to bed and slept
well. The next day I mentioned to Charlie that Jean had a separate room and
suggested he talk to Pierre. He did and found another room for his wife.
Womens' side facilities were closed. Bathroom and shower facilities were
touch and go.

At the time of the World Champs at Lost Hills in 1993, the main hotel for the
teams was in Bakersfield. One evening, Jean and I went to a restaurant
elsewhere in town and I noticed Charlie Bruce sitting with Frank Parmenter.
I got up from my chair and went to their table and introduced myself again to
Charlie and said that I was the one who slept with his wife in the same room
at the World Championships in France. At first he was really surprised, but
soon remembered the situation in France. However, next to Charlie and Frank
were five or six young people who heard my 'sleeping' greeting and burst out
in great guffaws having overheard brash greeting. Charlie and Frank had a
good laugh also, but the adjacent group roared.
