Canned - No

Cancellations
The simple answer if its on the schedule then you run it! This may require a plan B. But if you want to eliminate far travelled flyers then cancellation is the way to go. This is a thin end of a wedge and I worry that it could catch on. We have run events in conditions in the UK in conditions that were at best dire. I recall an overseas event which was attended by UK flyers where we insisted that the event was run and it was.
The FAI should develop sanctions that can be applied.
The answer is NO CANCELLATION!!!!!!!!!!!
Canned - yes
From: Gil Morris
I think Canada acted responsibly with flyers in general the central consideration. I had thoughts of going too but driving through Toronto getting there is no walk in the park and then to face a blow-out would have been disappointing. Organizers stage contests for the benefit of flyers and need no artificial rules on what's best for their event. It should be their call. This has been a tough year for weather related conditions. I hope all organizers want to return next year.
