Tech news from FAI Model Supply

In case any of you are ever flying in extreme cold temps, our rubber seems to work pretty well.  We received this email from one of our customers.

"A few days ago we bought some of your TAN super sport rubber. I am very enthusiastic regarding its low temperature properties. I am working at the University of Bern, Switzerland in Climate and environmental Physics department. We are often working Greenland and Antarctica at very low temperatures. I have been looking for rubber that stays elastic at temperature down to -55C (-67F). TAN super sport rubber performs by far the best of all tested samples."

He called the other day to explain it was even better with a silicone lube.  They were using it as seals for some type of drilling into the ice and pulling samples.  They wanted us to make extruded tubing, which is not possible, especially given the small quantity they need.

2 new SEN Features

On the latest issues of SEN there is a link in the top right corner letting you view SEN in a browser.  This link does give you 2 more features. Firstly it will translate SEN into another language using Google translate.  While this may not be perfect it is not too bad.  A quick look at the French translation, the only other one I can read confirms this.

In addition this lets you get at the archive of the most recent SENs that were sent with the new supplier, MailChimp.
