Fab Feb Update
In the next SEN there will be a recap of the contest flyers for all events.
A number of people have asked about renting or borrowing motor bikes etc for the week.
We have a long term plan to get and “Official Bike Rental Supplier” for Lost Hills but may not get it done in time.
Former ? F1A flyer in Bakersfield Mike Szura This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. has a bike business and has provided bikes for people in the past. I had tried to contact Mike over the holiday period but could not. Mike may have some bikes for rent.
Andrew Barron had rented golf carts for use at Lost Hills from
Everett Pierce at
All Carts
1636 S Union Avenue
Bakersfield, CA 93307
Phone: (661) 836-9800
They are about $50 a day plus delivery to the field. Contact A ll Carts, not Andrew !
If there are any US flyer who would like to either team up with a visitor or loan a spare bike they should reply to this SEN with their contact information.
Speaking of E-36 , there is the special Don Deloach organized World Event . See the video below for ideas. I can also report that F1A glider man, Leeper has been seen out with an E-36 , hoping to repeat his recent electric successes, I think he will find the competition a little tougher. Also a recent Perris flying session the “Boulevardiers”, Stan and Ralph were seen out with a couple of E-36s that Ralph has developed. Anything out of that shop has a killer performance. I was surprised to see that the Leeper has turned into Benedict Arnold or is it Edward Snowdon and was photographing the Boulevardiers machine and emailing said secret information to the opposition in E-36 Central, located under some mountain near Denver.
The pre entries for the events are rolling and it looks like a record turnout.

The DVD assumes that the builder/flier has some experience with either rubber or gas powered models, and is not intended for someone who is a neophyte in the hobby, but rather aimed at someone who would like to try his or her hand at an unique and enjoyable new facet of this hobby.
The video was funded by a generous gift from Bill Vanderbeek. Copies of the DVD can be purchased on the NFFS website <www.freeflight.org>; for a cost of $15 plus $3.00 shipping in the USA. Shipping overseas is also available. Orders direct to NFFS may also be made and paid by check or money order to: NFFS Publications Services. PO Box 1775, Albany, OR 97321.
