Argentine Team Travel Saga Update

At the World Champs the Argentine Team had more of thier fair share of model box delays .... with Alejandro having the biggest problems.  here is an update from his friend Ramiro.

Hi Roger,

After 40 days, finally my friend Alejandro Marchese from Arg. have his models box, everything are perfect inside, nothing broke. Alejandro want to say to all thanks, he's very grateful for the support of all the flyers because all were interested about the situation of the box, now he can say that his models are ok waiting for another contest for to be in the air, I don't want to say names but many people offered to him models, beacons, help, rubber and many things, to all of them thanks, Alejandro is very grateful to all of them. Of course in Argentina we are happy with the happy ending to this history. Best regards and good wish. Ramiro Gonzalez

Wakefield Book etc

Hello Roger,

Please include this "wanted" notice in a future SEN

WANTED:

Everybode interested in FAI Free Flight should know Charles Dennis Rushing's
outstanding book about the history of The Wakefield Cup. It can be found on
the FAI website:

http://www.fai.org/f1-free-flight/wakefield-international-cup

In collaboration with Charles and Jim Bennett I have generated some
corrections regarding the winners' ages and a few other details.

Enough about that. Charles refers in several places to a document by Gerald
Ritz, 1959 F1A winner, with the title: 1953 International Competition
Handbook.

Does anyone in the SEN readership have a copy or reprint for sale, loan, rent or any
other way. Please contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

BOM and E-36

Ross, if you wish to make a proposal to remove BOM from FF now is the time.  As I said many times in these postings the window is open for proposals till December 31.  You can download the rule change proposal form from the AMA web site.  You must be a current AMA member to make a rule change proposal.

Editors Note - from comments on the NFFS Forum it looks like there may be a proposal under way.

USA Team Selection Time accumulation

The new time accumulation sheets will soon be posted on www.freeflight.org  under competition/ US free flight team on top of the home page.  We are missing the reports of three contests. However, many fliers have not yet joined the program by paying $90 to AMA. Although Mongolia is a long way away, you can always have the satisfaction of making the team and not exercising the option to retrieve models riding on a horse back :-)))

In F1A we have a new flier: Shlomi Rozenzwig via Canada and Israel. But the following have yet to join: Pierre Brun, Ben Coussens, Steve Spence, Mike Thompson, Brian Van Nest and Don Zink.

In F1B the following are missing: Mike Achterberg, Bill Booth, Jim Bradley,  John Clapp, Michael Davis, Tom Ioeger, Blake Jenson, Chris Matsuno, Bob Piserchio, Rich Rohrke, Sara Radziunas, Martin Schroedter, Greg and Evan Simon, Bob Tymcheck, Tom Vaccaro and Eddie VanLandingham.

In F1C the absentees are: Ed Carrol, Dough Joyce, Ron McBurnett, Guy Menanno, Norm Poti, Lynn Pauley, Peter Sahlberg, Cody and Randy Secor and Charlie Stiles.

Those who decide to skip the time accumulation would still have to pay $90 to enter the program plus a $200 to buy-pass the time accumulation (75minutes).  Prefer to see you joining the program and making your flying count.

Aram
