Piserchio rubber winder for sale

Roger...I have one of the pretty blue Piserchio rubber winders, unused, unmodified, and unmolested and would like to offer it for sale. I have collected some hardware that I think will make a silent digital counter with a magnetic switch. I would offer the whole lot for $175 plus shipping. I do not have PayPal, but am open to suitable forms of payment, and can offer references among current FAI competitors. My email is (sbasser at yahoo dot com).  Thermally, Steve Helmick

 Flashers and Oracover Air

Does anyone know of a good source for Oracover Air in the US, or anyplace in the world it can be ordered for a reasonable price?  This is the very light .5 mil transparent mylar WITHOUT the adhesive.  It is easy enough to buy UltraCote Lite here in the US at Horizon Hobby or Hobby Lobby, and this is the same as Oracover Lite, but these US sources do not seem to carry the non-adhesive version which is half the weight.

On another subject I have just built a batch of the new LED flasher design that I've been working on for awhile since people have recently been requesting them.  This is a small 1 gram circuit board with two extremely bright red LEDs designed to be attached to a model to aid visibility in low light flyoff conditions.  Walt Ghio has recently tested one on his F1B models and they have made it easier for the timer to see the model in some conditions such as when the model is low against a dark background.  Several devices of this type have been starting to show up on models in the last few years.  My particular design uses two 180 degree opposed independent strobe LEDs which flash alternately rather than at the same time so that all the energy of a very small battery can be directed to one LED at a time, thus maximizing the light output.  A small 2 gram LiPo battery can be used to power the flasher for over an hour giving a total 3 gram solution that
can be used on almost any model.  The flasher can also be wired into an existing battery on the model.  The flash is bright enough that one cannot look directly at it at close range.  Price right now is $50 each.  More details and pictures will be on my website soon.

Thanks, Ken
