Euro Champs
For those following the EC, the web site www.ec2012italy.com has the results - more timely than the Junior WC. F1A has 24 in the flyoff and Germany appears to have won the team prize.
F1U.ORG is also reporting the event and has a photo gallery at http://f1u.org/gallery/category/9-f1a . Beside the models that fly you can see some on the flightline and the F1U editor on his new wheels.

Sartorial Excellence -F1B - Courtsey Andriukov
Seen an AA F1B covered with the Icarex that is on the Andriukjov Web site - painted with a thined Acrylic paint by Tamiya normally for plastic models. Alex says that doing the whole wing adds less than 2 grams. Not a problem for these models as I noticed that the model a tiny piece of lead taped on to the motor tube bring it up to weight. The model had the USA and FAI/AMA number in an elegant gold paint along with Anrdiukov in gold script on the other wing. Alex also had another older pre-Argentina WC polyspan covered model with the same color scheme that looked pristime, he must take better care of his models than I do.
Dotting the eyes
I also got help from Jack Emery on how to make fine adjustments on my F1B VIT post. You have all seen those stick on red dots often used to mark MAXes on score sheets. These come in many sizes, Jack found that there is a small size that is just right for sticking on the VIT post , for those models without a screw, like mine, when you shave a little too much off, like I did. They seem to hold well.
