F1E at Lost Hills

 

On Feb. 8 and 9 there will be 2 F1E contests in Lost Hills, CA. This will be a good way to observe these handlaunched slope soaring free flight gliders. On Feb. there is the 5-round Isaacson Monday F1E contest starting at 10 AM and on Feb. 9 there is the 7-round California F1E World Cup on Holloway Hill. The next F1E World Champs will be in Zlatibor, Serbia next year. The Team Selection contest to select the US F1E Team will be in late August in Flagstaff, AZ.

 
A magnet steered F1E glider can easily be built by using an A-2/F1A wing and just constructing a F1E fuselage. Information is available in the '02, '03, 04, '06 NFFS Symposia. I will have basic F1E steering kits available for purchase in Lost Hills.

I have for sale these models and parts that I no longer need:
 
A. New Mechanical F1H, "Mini Bone" by Vasily Beschasny, never flown, wings covered with Micafilm, hot pink stab and rudder
 
B. Used F1G/Coupe, "Sugar G" by Andrey Burdov, structurally sound, D-box Wing Polyspan covered, DPR, VIT, WW, AR, DT, this model flew F1G National Record 27:43 for me 
 
C. Used F1G/Coupe, "Sweet G" by Andrey Burdov, good starter model with VIT, AR, DT timer and D-box wing
 
D. Used Andriukov F1B wing, 152 cm, Polyspan covered, repairable damage right wing tip
