SEN and RR/TW

For the last 3 to 4 months RR.com aka Timer Warner cable has deemed from time to time  that SEN by mail is not suitable for their subscribers and starts bouncing us, we then go to our ISP who contacts them and tells them that we do wear white hats so are the good guys. We get turned back on for a few weeks until one the RR/TW guys sees me in my Johnny Cash outfit and decides that SEN is bad so turns us off and the cycle repeats... and if you didn't understand this, don't worry as probably are not one of the 25 or so subscribers that get their mail through RR/TW.

But as a piece of non-connectioned triva we have about 700 mail subscribers and 200-300 people who read SEN online

Fall 2010 AmCup Results

The end of the year race to the finish is shaping up. I’ve had a good year and it will tough to over take my first place position in F1A.  Lurking back in 7th place is Timothy Barron, one of our fine products of the USA Jr FF Program. Timothy has two high bonus point wins (27 and 30 points) and a 25 point. It would take another 30 point contest win to take the lead--- perhaps Team Barron is making travel plans.

I likely gave Blake Jensen a scare with an incorrect draft score sheet sent out last week showing Brian Pacelli, another fine Jr flyer in first place.  After the correction, Brian is in second and Blake maintains his first place position. A 25 point win for Brian would propel him into first place. Walt Ghio has a shot with a 28 point contest win.

F1C is open to several guys to take the lead from Don Chesson. Ron NcBurrnet is one of those. Last year, the AmCup draw got 2009 AmCup winner, Mike Roberts, to fly outside LH and Tangent. Maybe we’ll see Mike's flying buddy Ron in Las Vegas this year to repeat history.

Bob Hanford is back again in F1P with  6, 25 point  wins but Brian Pacelli is in a tie with him with 4,  25 point wins. Bob would win by tie breaker. Also watch out for Dave Rounsaville with 3, 25 point wins.

F1G find perennial  F1G guru, Ed Vanlandingham, in the lead. Bill Booth has the only  real chance to catch Ed but needs a  28 point win.

Brian VanNest is in his usual 1st place in F1H but I can catch him with a 25 point win but must leave California.

Another fine product of our Jr Program is Austin Gunder. He is in the lead with only 3 scores counted.  That leaves the race wide open.

At the last AmCup banquet, Julie Parker told me she planned to win F1Q this year.  This Texas girl is true to her word and her 103 total points will be difficulty to beat.

Peter Brocks took a leave to run the USA F1E Team Selection Finals this year but still found the time to win the AmCup F1E. I've lost count how many first places hehas won.

Thermals, JIM

Indoor Model Conservation Question

Hi

I have recently come to own my late stepfather's indoor Penny Plane and also his EZB which are in a box safely packed back at my house.  The workmanship is superb and I want to preserve these for as long as possible and one day may even fly them.  The props are incredible and a real pleasure to look at.

At the moment, they are in a snug but large cardboard box secure and I have a couple of sachets of silica gel in this.  Is there anyway of storing these even better as it may be some years before I fly them again?
Many thanks

Kev Moseley
