New SEN Question
From: chris.edge

Baron SCAT,

I prefer to view your organ online rather than have it sent to me. Can I still
do this with all the new whistles and bells (ie images) that you now
promise subscribers ? Am I missing out still looking at aeromodel.com ?

Thanks,

EoB aka CHE

[EoB

Currently it is only available on-line at the old site. This
will be changed in due course - while it was not possible to
view the images etc in the last couple of issues - it probably will be
"real soon now "!]

Nostalgia-era Wakefield Info Needed

I'm working on an article for the 2007 NFFS Sympo on the Wakefield event
during the 1943-1956 time period. I need help with two items:

* Rubber cost--does anyone remember what rubber strip (T-56, Dunlop, or
Pirelli) costs back in the early 1950s. My best guess is around $2 to $3
a pound, but I would like to get something more exact.

* Frank Cummings Wakefield--In the early 1950s Frank Cummings was flying
a twin-fuselage Wakefield (think P-38). The story I've heard is that he
stood in front of the model, holding both props, then jumped up, allowing
the model to fly out under him. (And we think DPR can be hairy!)
I did find a photo of him bending over in front of the model, holding
the tips of both props. Any confirmation.

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
