Bradley timers and towhooks

Hi Roger,
For posting in SEN, please:
I have several old-style Bradley Model Products F1A electronic timers and
circle towhooks, if anyone is interested in them. I checked with Jim B. and
he advised that the only folks using them are newcomers and possibly those
flying Czechmate-type models; he has discontinued both items.
Some are used, some are new, and rather than see them sit around any more, I
thought I'd see if anyone can use them; not exactly eBay items!

There is an error in the latest listing of the America's Cup contelt listing
that I have previously reported. The Magnificent Mountain Men 14 Round meet
June 30 and July 1 in Denver Colorado DOES INCLUDE THE MINI EVENTS.
This is a great meet that will test the skills of all who come to fly with
us. A 27,000 A field with insight of down town Denver should be a reason to
come and fly with us.

Tom, Roger: Thanks for posting the Amer Cup schedule in the last SEN.
Please correct the phone number you show for the Skyscraper FAI Challenge
in Wawayanda, NY on May 19-20. My phone number is (203) 248-5386.
Thanks, Andrew Barron.
Rolled Balsa tail booms.

When I used to roll tailbooms I used a pool cue for the form.
A couple of things I learned. Tissue the inside with the lightest
tissue you have. Double spiral wrap the outside with very thin
Kevlar thread to keep it from warping.
Good luck

Stab carbon capstrips

Hello out there ......
Carbon capstrips for F1B stabilizers.
A couple of years ago I had the luck to get some 0.08 x 1.0 mm carbon
capstrips but now, seemingly, I cannot get anymore of these. You can get
0.12 x 1.0 mm but they are too thick. The AA collection now only deals with
very narrow stab caps (0.6 mm wide).
Does anyone know if anybody is making 0.08 x 1.0 mm caps.
Thanks a lot in advance

Hot Rumor
=========
It is rumored that in addition the the Junior F1B School that George
Batiuk will be holding on the Saturday at the beginning of
the FF Nationals at Muncie, there will be a similar school for F1A and F1J.
While the F1B school has a special cache because a> it is F1B for the
Wakefield Cup ** and b> George's ancestors come from that mother lode
of Free Flight the Ukraine, the other classes have some merit too!
Brian Van Nest, America'a Cup Winner and World Champs team member in
Israel will be the F1A proffesor and Craig Gunder who coached son Austin
to be the F1J Junior World Champ will do the F1J school. Also as part
of rumor there will be a drawing for an F1H. Watch for details.
** the Wakefield trophy for F1B as it is now known is the longest
continuously competed aviation trophy in any category or airsport.
But will the person who stole the original one that was
made of gold please return it - actually it is probably not
likely that that person is still alive so watch out for it
in your attic and on the Antiques Road Show.
