The clear mylar question may be answered at your local printer. We use mylar
clear as a stripping base. Comes in thicknesses that should suffice.
Also, good plastics shops have it. Called polyester clear.

Bob Pieserchio covered it in the last Sympo. Plus other ideas on
relative testing.

Jim, there is a detailed description of Alex's test method in the 1999, 32nd
Annual Symposium Report. See Piserchio's article "Rubber Testing Techniques"
on page 53-55; Current practise-Alex Andriukov paragraph is on page 55.
A good simple plain description of current test techniques thanks to Bob.

Roger

Many thanks for posting the National Cup schedule in the EN. For any reader
who wants a copy, I can send by attachment or snail mail the clean Excel
worksheet of the NC contest schedule which is much easier to read than the
EN version that is scrambled a bit in conversion from Excel to text format.

For those recent EN readers asking for descriptions of rubber testing
techniques, take a look at the 1999 NFFS Symposium, pages 53-55. Bob
Piserchio's fine article describes his technique and the methods of Earl
Boetler, Fudo Takagi and Alex Andriukov, written in a very clear style.

Is there any interest out there for reprints of individual Sympo articles,
such as for Piserchio's rubber testing paper? The 1999 Sympo is still
available for purchase from NFFS Publications.
