Roger:
I think it will be wise to post this on the SEN:

It is amazing how all our classes of free flight models relate to each
other. Your stories sound so much like mine.
Don't ever try an undercambered stab again!

Jean Wanzenreither has preached much the same for wakefield, i.e. near
symmetrical airfoil and low aspect ratio.

The new site in NE is a wonderful addition to our list of available free
flight sites. Good for all of the guys who worked on this project. The
Galeville frustration is now history.
Andrew Barron should be awarded some kind of honor, I would think. "Sir" does
fit well.
Kudos to all.
Let me know if the NFFS can be of any help

Dear Roger

'Scatters' might be interested in a new page Ive recently added to the
South Australian Free Flight Group's site - called 'Model Box' - to be
filled with 'treasures' that may come in useful one day, or maybe not :-)

The address is:

http://www.chariot.net.au/~bluejay/modelbox.html

At the moment there are three articles there:

Composites : using modern materials in free flight aeromodelling by Bill
Pudney
Memories : of Wakefield models built between 1944 and 1951 by Mal Sharpe
TOP : Three Axes Optimum Permanent Equilibrium by Jean Wantzenriether

Some time this week, I'll be adding another article on straight towing.

Permission ?

Dear Roger, I would like to have the permission to publish in VOL LIBRE
some superb notes exchanged in SEN. It concerns the stab airfoils for F1A.
The authors are Hines, Gregorie, Linkosalo, etc.
Which is the rule? Do I have to contact the authors individually?
In the future should be warned for each loan?
SEN is fantastic. Best regards. Jean Wantzenriether.

[Jean

I do not think that it is a problem as long as you attribute
the original authors and SEN.]
