Orders taken now should be available early next year. John and I both
have some Burdov items for immediate delivery. We both have some F1B
wing and I have prop blades, pylons, a light strong 6 model fiberglass
F1B carrying case, etc.
Also, I stayed late Sunday to pick up the placement certificates and
small merchandise awards given out for the S.W. FAI Challenge at El
Dorado Dry Lake. I will bring these to the Livotto or if you give me a
call I will bring awards to Elsinore for our weekly Saturday flying &
brunch session.
Roger, my fly-off to the ground time was 6:13, 27 seconds behind
George, which puts me second (not 4th) in the contest. Otherwise, the
order is correct
Al Brush
[Sorry about that Al -
the correct results are :
F1B - 10 Contestants - 4 Maxouts
1 George Batiuk
2 Al Brush
3 Rich Rohrke
4 Bob Piserchio
5 Jim Lueken
6 Bob Tymchek

Roger, I have a request from Eugene Verbitsky. He is in need of some
carbonfiber rovings.(12 K ) I sold him the only roll I had last year. If
anyone going to Livotto or Sierra Cup can help him out, I'm sure he
would appreciate it. According to his E-mail, he will pay. Bob
[ I suggest anyone who can help contact Eugene directly first

Carbon based Wakefield Wings
============================
There are a lot of ways to do a carbon based wakefield wing. I found a
homepage, where someone presents his way
www.freenet.hut.fi/koulut/lennokkikerho/torsio.html
An other way is, you design your D-Box out of strong wood and use a
vacuum pump. That is the easiest way to do it. If you haven't got a
vacuum pump, you can use an old fridge motor...
Normally I used a modyfied german F1A form to do the D-Box, but if you
haven't got such a form, it is going to be hard to design it.
Kai
PS.: If I find some other homepages, I'll send it to Scat

>From my encycloopedia first printed in 1918 -
LUDDITES, in British history a name given to rioters in 1811-16, in
Yorkshire, Lancashire and Nottinghamshire, in England, who attributed the
prevailing distress to the introduction of machinery in manufacturers, and
did a great deal of damage in destroying it. For a time these counties were
in a perpetual state of disturbance, but on the return of prosperity the
riots ceased.
[Have not seen any riots at Lost Hills but have seen
some riotous times]

Where would one go to get a copy of the FAI model aircraft rules.
And a list of the categories open to competition plus description of
each aircraft type, design & requirements?
Thanks Don Long
