Another comment on October rubber

Hi folks!
I have just finished testing the latest batch of Tan 2 using my normal
indoor winding method. I got an energy of 4096 ft which compares with
4141ft for the July batch and 4117 ft for the Aug 93 batch which has been
the longtime favourite for me and most indoor modellers.
The shape of the curve is OK and I saw no signs of the nasty holes and
nicks which characterised the July batch. This result is in line with stretch
tests run by long time tester, Bob Gibbs. I would say this is is excellent
rubber for indoor use and I congratulate John Clapp and his supplier for
doing a great job. Serious indoor buffs should buy themselves a box
or two of this classic vintage - it is unlikely to come any better.

More on October Rubber
------------------------
I guess the word got around really fast on this rubber. The latest word
is that FAI is out of it already and the next batch is expected in
December. I assume that some resellers and maybe even FAI Modelsupply
may have smaller boxes.
