AMA Reminder

I just got my AMA membership renewal. AMA members, when renewing don't forget to check the outdoor free flight and FAI programs boxes.

USA Team Selection site vote

Those in the USA Team selection program will have got a ballot paper either by e-mail or by post depending on your choice of how you indicated you wanted to receive communications. There is a choice of two sites. Lost Hills, CA and Boulder City, NV. For the site to be on the list an interested party had to propose it to the Team Selection Committee and only those sites were proposed. If you are in the USA program be sure to vote.

There has been an email discussion with a number of pluses and minuses for the Boulder site. This email discussion was seen by a limited number of potential finals participants.  I have seen parts of this and been sent part for publication in SEN.  To print this email stream it would require a significant amount of editing to make it presentable.

The Team Selection Committee had set up an area on the NFFS web site to promote discussion on the 2014 Team  Selection  site.  The link to this topic is below.  The TSC said that would take the email discussion and post it on this area.

Eloy, Arizona - Dec. and Jan. Contests
On December 7 and 8 the Arizona Free Flight Championships will be held in Eloy, Arizona. This is the last America's Cup and National Cup contest west of the Mississippi for the year 2013. There are AMA, NFFS, SAM, and FAI events. To download the 2 fliers for the AZ Champs go to http://www.freeflight.org/Competition/Calendar.htm and click on the blue "Arizona Championships". On the field in Eloy it should be cool in the mornings but will warm up to about 70° during the day.

A correction to the AMA/NFFS flier: Large Nos Rubber will be flown on Saturday and Small Nos Rubber on Sunday. The 2nd pages of these fliers have a map that shows how to get to the new field. Questions - email: elmernelson "at" cox.net

For information on the 3-day 2014 Southwest Regional Model Airplane Championships on January 18-20 go to http://aalmps.com/14info.htm - please use the Entry Forms to pre-enter. This will be the 64rd SWR!
