Wilbur and Orville Fall America's Cup Meet
Here below is a reminder of the W&O meet this weekend prepared by contest organizer Sarah Radziunas. The event schedule agrees with what has been posted for some time on the brooklynskysraper website. I hope to see many of you there. I know some are coming from some distance (including Roger Morrell and his grandson Wes). Be cautioned that because of corn on neighboring property, working transmitters are required on all models larger than a hand-launch glider. Thermals, ARB

Free Flight Friends,
Here is the event schedule for the Wilbur and Orville Fall
America's Cup Meet at Barron field near Middletown, NY, August 20 -
August 21, for FAI, AMA, and NFFS free flight events. We are hoping
for a good turnout for this America's Cup contest and everyone is
welcome to attend. Golf carts are made available for retrieval,
especially for those who come from a distance (just let Andrew Barron
or myself know you are coming).
The schedule of events is given below; it is similar to that used at
the Skyscraper meets and the Wilbur and Orville Spring Meet. Further
contest listings and directions to Barron Field are at
www.brooklynskyscrapers.org See also the NFFS master calendar at

The Wilbur and Orville Society is a youth oriented Free Flight club
first started by Art Ellis. Currently the Wilbur and Orville Society
is organized and coordinated by Sarah Radziunas within the Eli
Whitney Museum, New Haven, Connecticut. Free flight fliers of all
ages are encouraged!! To show our support for youth fliers, the
Wilbur and Orville Society will be donating event entry fees to the
2012 Junior Team. So far we are expecting to have four junior team
members participating in this contest, including Gina and Michelle
Barron, Brian Pacelli, and Wes Murrell. So please come out and show
your support for the Juniors.
