I just wanted to thank you and your city editor for the great full page
pictorial layout you did on the San Valeer Annual. Gus Sunberg sent copies
to us and we thoroughly enjoyed it and thank you for the great pictures in
you Taft paper.
We feel that Freeflight Models is a great hobby for people of all ages and
one you can have for life. We really appreciate the publicity that you gave
us from this exposure.
The Southern California Free Flight association has a number of contests at
both Taft and Lost hills throughout the year, and we appreciate the support
we get in your community.

This is related to Rex's question about dipping to the right after the
burst with a F1B.Another cause could be that the rudder has too much area.I
have cured this problem by trimming the rudder down until you get a Dutch
roll then add a little back on.
Now my question.At what angle 8.5"[215mm] from center line should we start
with for the low end of a VP prop?Would it be the same for a flyoff model as
for a thermal model?Would it be the same for 28 strands as it would be for
30 strands?I know we can change it later but i wondered where other people

Very interesting. My latest models have been adopting this phenomenon as
well. I'm happy if the climb opens a little but not so much so the thing
is starting to head a straight. My wing and rudder are connected and
were always dropped in at the end of the run. This has been brought
forward to aboout the mid point of the run and this seems to cure the
problem. My idea, for what its worth, is that as the nose drops the roll
effect of the wiggler becomes more pronounced relative to the power of
the rudder. The rudder then is unable to compensate for the situation.
