[before the SCAT Annual started Al Brush was rushed off to
the hospital in Bakersfield. We all wanted to know how
Al was doing... ]

We appreciate all our friends' care and concern for what we were
certain was a classic heart attack. The Lost Hills Fire Department
Paramedics, Wasco paramedics, Memorial Emergency Room Cardiac
team and the head of coronary interventions, Dr. Mehta, all were just
as positive that I had ungone a full heat attack.....BUT after the
angiogram, echocardiogram, CAT scan chest x-ray, everyone was
wrong! It hints of a miracle to Tina and myself.
It was a whole lot of trouble and misery to get out of having to fly
my good F1Bs in thrasher winds. The only one perspective enough
to figure it all out was Lindy Morrell, who thought I had gone
to great lengths to save my pretty models from the horrendous
winds of the contest on Saturday.
Another thought is that I received tender, loving care from pretty
nurses while laying around "in the lap of luxury" being fed, felt and
poked. I have more needle tracks than a first class junky.
In a very serious `vein', thanks for the long drives from the contest
site to Bakersfield Memorial Hospital, the phone calls, the
encouragement (especially to Tina). We both agreed, that we our
surrounded by a very special family of F.A.I. flyers. THANKS AGAIN
for sharing your caring with us.
P.S. We will be seeing our regular cardiologist and doctors here in
a few days. We want to find out why all the same symptoms that
preceeded my heart attack, with cardiac arrest six years ago, were
exactly the same and in the same sequence.

WE got a collection of photos frpm Pieter be Boer [thank you].
These are in the Tiff format so are quite big. We plan on
converting then to jpeg and displaying them. We are
very busy at this time so this will take us a little time.
SCAT Banco Dates
================
The SCAT Banco contest was planned for the last weekend of March.
Pierre Brun the CD decided to move it to the first weekend
of April so it could be used a preliminary contest for the
US Team selection for 2001. Unfortunateley this date is Easter
and Pierrr met with some opposition from the sisterhood.
The following week is a BFT contest at Lost Hills that
will include FAI events.
So Pierre is going to move it to May 15 /16. This date
will be confirmed. This date has the blessing of our meteo-astro
predictor Hermann Andresen. .. and avoids Mother's day.
Meanwhile .. a group of SCAT members decided that they were already fired up
to come out to Lost Hills on 27 - 28 March anyway so an informal
flying, training, trimming session will be held at Lost Hills that
weekend. I will have a BlackMagic electronic timer set up session
to help people with my timers and show people how to set them up.
