Hacker's Corner
---------------

Try http://google.com. It is the fastest running search engine I have
experienced. Developed by 2 guys from Stanford. Came to me via Steve
Gibson, a man I met at the Orange County IBM PC Users Club in Costa Mesa.
Gibson is the man who developed Spinrite.

I entered 'model airplanes' and the screen changed within a second with the
first 10, most of which you will probably recognize.

The search engine ranks the listings by quality of links and quality of
linkers.

Fly What it Takes - Dallas Parker
=================================

This year the winner of the Junior-goes-to-the-World_Champs award was
Dallas Parker. Dallas beat his older and more experienced F1A contestants
Steven Coussens and David Ellis in a close battle. The US FAI FF team
has got some private financial assistance so is able to make this award
again. The first recipient was Daved Ellis who went to Sazena in '97.
It goes to the Junior who does the best in the America's Cup. This
year Dallas's father Jim is on the F1A team.

FYI
A good friend at work strongly suggests that all who travel to foreign
countries procure
FAKE PASSPORTS for some country OTHER than USA. Keep it in an outer
pocket to
present to any thieves or terrorists you may meet!

In addition, DO NOT I.D. your baggage EXTERNALLY with address, state,
USA or phone number to prevent prying eyes from gaining that knowledge.
Current world events should be sufficient indication as to the validity
of the above suggestions.

[Lee I think the risk of the airline mislaying your baggage is much
greater than an encounter with either terorist or simple theives]

I am planning a '99 EUROLAND FF TOUR to (tentatively) Egeln,
Zulpich and
Cenny's comp in Belgium, but NOT to Israel. I know you have your ear to
the ground, so if you hear of someone else with similar ideas, put them
&/or me in contact, OK?

(Rog, publish/pass on this blurb re my trip idea and the safety tips if
you please)
