Subject : Trash on flying sites.

I think the most important thing to remember is that certain types of trash
should never be left on fields which are likely to be visited by animals.
The things that are really harmful are towlines, carbon and fibre glass. I
think other modelling-specific debris is more unsightly than harmful.
However I can see a more or less complete rubber motor getting stuck
round a neck or being harmful if eaten.

I was also told of a Belgian cow that reportedly ate a carbon F1A (or bits
of it) during a Pampa Cup and died from internal injuries. The model had
landed in the same field and the cow was enjoying its meal by the time the
flier arrived to retrieve his model. There is not much we can do about
hungry cattle, but it's something to be aware of.
