Russian Report

From : Sergey Makarov.

Dear friends.

We had very nice contest in Nalchik in Russia, world cup event ‘Naloev Cup’. As usual, it was one of the biggest in Europe: 68 in F1A, 59 in F1B, 59 (46+13 F1C+F1P). Nice weather, very good field, beautiful view for Kavkaz mountings... and very friendly organizer Nikolay Naloev. I did some photos, open the link

Looking for a MAX

From:
Bob Stalick

OS Max 15 Mk 1 needed.
I hate to break up the discusson of important CIAM issues, but I just lost my Vintage FAI model equipped with an OS Max 15 Mk. 1. I'd like to build a replacement, but I need to find another engine. Anyone out there who may have one he is willing to part with? I'd like to buy it with cash, or I have a collector's Cox Medallion 051 in near new condition that I would trade even up.
Anyone?
Thanks,
Bob Stalick <This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.>

Looking for  Models.

Hello, and hello.

I used to build A2 Nordic gliders. Then flew hang gliders, and then 15meter gliders. Love this stuff.   Loved "Flight of the Phoenix".    I am a flight guy I guess.

Now I got an 8 year out grand son. Want to get him into "beginner" models. Ex. Hand launch.
Like 12" spans or so. All balsa is what I used to construct.
Need help and advice. Plans, sources for balsa, etc.

Please call or e mail. I live in Invermere,B C.  Close to Calgary. Will be in there soon.

Any advise would be appreciated.

Editor’s comment – There are a number of references on the NFFS web site – freeflight.org.  I have used Stan B’s Scout catapult gliders with kids  see them on his section of http://www.discuskid.com/
