Friday’s “180 is max” contest had three entries. A 10 to 12 mph wind started the day and I set the max at two minutes. Most flyers just wanted to test fly as the breeze died down during the middle of the day and then picked up later in the day from the north. Jim Parker was the only flyer to max out and took home the DVD.
Saturday started with a west breeze. We held off for one hour and started at 9 am in good conditions that turned very hot in the afternoon. The evening ended with again a good north breeze. Randy and Cody Secor decided to not have a flyoff for F1C and Cody was declared the winner. Mike McKeever out did Ted Stalick in the Sunday morning F1A flyoff. Five F1B flyers went into the seventy round maxed out and Martyn Schroedter was the only one to make a max for the win in the difficult conditions. Good result for Junior team member Troy Davis taking second in F1B. Junior team member Taron Malkhasyan was the only entry in F1P.
We had excellent very hot weather on Sunday with very big thermals in the afternoon. Mike Pykelny had some issues with his front end for the flyoff and Tiffany O’Dell came out the winner. Mike McKeever had the better early morning flight so he out did Jim Parker. Matt Gewain was the only flyer to max out in F1Q.
A big “thanks” for Ron McBurnett who had again made Bissonnette Memorial T-Shirts for this year.
