2012 AmCup Final results

The King Orange results had little change to the last report. One change was Gil Morris flew and maxed out in difficult conditions and so got 25 points to move into 4th in F1C.  Jean Pailet's win in F1H moved him out of a tie for second  with me into a tie for first but stays in second  by way of tie breaker rule so the result is Jean does not share 2nd with me. Similar situation with Bob Hanford winning F1J to tie for first but the tie breaker goes to Faust Parker. (note: only first place ties are broken)

A charming story-- Blake Jensen the 2011 F1G AmCup winner got the KO results and so knew Tiffany O'Dell had secured the 2012 win. She had come close over the last several years. Blake used his mill to engrave Tiffany's name on the AmCup F1G perpetual trophy plate was was placed under the Christmas tree on year years day to Tiffany's great surprise.

Congratulations to the 2012 AmCup winners!
F1A        Mike  McKeever
F1B        Charles Jones
F1C        Ron  Mc Burnett
F1P         Glen  Schneider
F1G        Tiffany  O'Dell
F1H        Mike  McKeever
F1J          Faust  Parker
F1Q        Julie Parker

Please send any corrections to me by the Jan. 20, 2013. On Jan 21, 2013 the results are locked down and the certificates and engraving starts. <This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.>

Some AmCup business notes. There are no rules changes for the 2013 AmCup season. The North American Cup (previously called the Pan Am Cup) will have AmCup sanctions. All 2012 AmContests are carried into the 2013 list. Please contact me if your contest is not being held or no longer wishes to be an AmCup contest.

It is time to CDs and clubs to start sending the $30 AmCup sanction fee in. Please Make  a check out to SCAT and mail to me:
Jim Parker, 9524 Ruffner Ave, Northridge, CA.

The AmCup banquet will again be at the Wasco Elk's club on Saturday, February 16, 2013. Sign up is by MaxMen entry previously published in SEN.  If you’re not flying the MaxMen and wish to attend, drop me an email—you can pay me at Lost Hills, I plan to in the "moldy loaf" for the Fab Feb duration. The winners get a free banquet dinner—make a note on your MaxMen form and remember the MaxMen tradition that Winners wear coat and tie at the award ceremony.  2012 winners—shine up those perpetual trophies and make arrangement to have them at the banquet—please do not bring to the “moldy loaf”, I’ll have a full house this year.
Thermals, JIM
