Tustin Hanger Opportunity

This will be either our last opportunity to fly in the Tustin hangar or hopefully the beginning of a new era of indoor flying! Remember, this is to be a positive demo of what we want to do.

Sorry about the short notice, will keep you posted if any changes.

To all Southern California model aviation clubs, members and guests:

The Orange County Parks Department is having its First Public Workshop on the Tustin Blimp Hangar and Regional Park, on Monday April 15, from 5 to 7:30 PM.  This 85 acre facility is now in the planning stages, and this is your opportunity to guide that planning.  Our goal is to allow use of the hangar for indoor model aircraft.

The schedule will be facility tours both inside and outside of the North hangar from 5 to 6 PM.  During this time Harbor Soaring Society will demonstrate various types of indoor model aircraft.  At this time the Tustin Hangar documentary "Titans of History" will be projected on a large screen, and refreshments will be served.  At 6 PM a PowerPoint presentation will be made by the Parks Department and the company contracted to perform preliminary design.  At the conclusion of the presentation, the public is invited to give inputs for the features they prefer. We would like to have a massive turn-out of model enthusiasts expressing their support for both indoor and outdoor model aviation at this new regional park.  Bring your family and friends for this opportunity to see the inside of this National Historic Building.  Get there early if possible, to avoid traffic.
