Editorial executive summary , upon which I could be corrected .
- Aeromodeller was/is one of the classic of the model aviation press. It was merged into a Magazine AMI, that not appears to have fallen upon hard times and is being folded.  There is an effort to bring  the Aeromodeller back

Aeromodeller

Gentlemen

To take a minority sport past time forward, it is time that the bulk of the material was professionally posted on the web.

The function of cheap magazine ettes, available at the News agents should be to promote and funnel aeromodelling returnees to the a web based "Aeromodeller".   Who wants to fork out £4 to £6 a month for something that is weeks out of date and 95% irrelevant ?  Far better to pay for Free Flight News, Scat or SAM 35 Speaks or New Clarion.

A co-operative effort between special interest groups co-ordinated by a professional media editor would assist building a critical mass and therefore economic viability. E-bay and Hip Pocket Aeronautics.com has changed the route to isolated free flight/control line/vintage/indoor, the majority of whom do not compete very often.  But all of us dream of having free time and a flying field one day.

By the way there is a massive World Championship going on in Falmouth this week. It is great fun. Only wish I was 30 years younger again.   The medal race will have cameras on each boat.

Floating Aeromodeller [or money and mouth?]

Nick

OK.

Show us how it's done. You seem to have an idea that would be a nice little project for you. Currently I'm too busy working with a few others trying to keep the scene afloat.

I will await developments.

Point of order re Stonehenge News...

CHE,
Re your comments in Stonehenge report:
"Other news - barbed wire fence 2: trousers 0."
Does that indicate that the barbed wire fences are now sporting 2 fresh pair of
trousers, whilst 2 serious sportsmen are now ...hmmm...suffering from southern
exposure? Leeper

Boys,

I will leave it to your vivid imaginations to decide what I meant .............................

CHE

Chris,

Fortunately most people's imaginations are as good as yours
