Kevin Lamers Alan Jack Folding Flapper was really insane! I have never seen something like that! It went up so straight, so fast and so heigh! The bunt was really perfect, not even a mm lost in height! And then its gliding performance, F1A like!

Allard van Wallene Verbitsky has apparently variable pitch on his geared F1C (no flaps/folder). What's next?
Geared variable pitch flapper folder?

o
Bernard Bruins Alan only needs to get vp on his F1C. I believe his flapper folder is already geared. It was like a knife cutting true the air.

Some info. Alan's model is called the Squid. About 3 years ago when he started making the model he sent me the wing section in folded and flapped configuration. I considered the shape and said it reminded me of a squid - the name stuck. Ala...n built ALL the model except the engine. It has his own electronic timer etc and was ready at the Euro Champs but he never reached the FO. Yes it is geared with, I think, a Fora engine.

What's next ? Morphing sections and area using peizo actuators. Simples.

EoB and the Thong Effect

Uncle SCAT,

You should know only too well that to keep the literary juices flowing to your fine organ, I write only when completely naked (see attached photo). No thongs involved.

EoB

. . Fortunately we do not publish photos  so we leave EoB, the Thong and Haggis to your imagination
