SEN Service Provider Update

There was a major system outage last weekend at our service providers and mail to selected mail ISPs continues to be blocked or ignore at random.

We have a number of discussions with our provider and are concerned that a number of ISPs keep blocking us, we complain and then get un blocked and then re-blocked only a week later.

We believe that we are conforming to out provider's AUP and that seeing the outgoing e-mail IP address is shared by our providers other customers we deduce that material from one or another of them must be contributing the the mail blocking problem.  We do not believe that the content of SEN should be generating undue visibility with a mail provider such as ATT/SBC or even Comcast.

To this end we are further working with out provider to improve the situation. The reason for moving to an outside provider was to get around these issues. This provider blocks or cancels our sending too frequently for their operational reasons. If we are not able to resolve the situation we will need to change providers again.

Some people have difficulty saving the SEN that they are interest in. You can do this by using the PDF or Print buttons that are at the top right hand corner of the screen panel

GPS Outlawed in F1E

Roger, this is for SEN, thanks:

At the CIAM Plenary Meeting in March of this year a decision was made that effects the F1E rules. It prohibits the use of an onboard GPS. Full clarification will be published shortly by the CIAM.

This outlaws the use of GPS. Ian Kaynes just confirmed to me that this revised definition is effective immediately.

Ode to Willard S

Willard now looks down from his Heavenly reward,
And receives global info faster than cyber-speed,
writes his notes and grades his FF friends, to see
if we are worthy of the birds he entrusts to our trying!
It may be felt, that his new mantra is:
Fly, Willard, Fly!

I remain your humbled friend,
Lee R Hines

Willard Smitz

Having been an Aeronut and now an IMAC I knew Willard quite well. He taught Charlie Sotich and I how to dress for model flying, white long sleeve shirt and Navy swabbie hat turned down both to ward off the sun. I still wear the same 2 shirts for 20 years now. He and Charlie don't have the same problem keeping theirs clean they did not fly gas. I shall miss Willard dearly. Ed Mate
