Lubomir Coutny.

Please, does anyone know how I can contact scale flyer Lubomir Coutny, By
email preferably? Lubomir did some interesting glide tests on Peanut size
gliders a few years ago and I would like to give a reference to them in a new p
aper
I am writing. I know the results and his article were in an old Aeromodeler
about 10/15 years ago. If anyone can find the article, could they let me know

the date and the title. It is the only real glide test data I know that has
been carried out at Re Nos ca 15,000 and is therefore very valuable
information.

Thanks for any help
Peter King

> Hi to all:

Due to the automatic response from FAI model supply , I cannot have direct
comunication to buy rubber for f1g, f1b.
I am sending this mail to the forum to see if I can get more response.
I am from ARGENTINA, South America.
Hugo Tizon.

[
Hugo - you will get it from FAI Modelsupply. I suspect
they were out of the office at the King Orange Contest]

Chuck Phelan! That name rings a bell! Are you sure it has hasn't been more
like 40 years rather than a mere 35? I can't remember what I was doing last
week but I can remember you and your ultra-high thrust line ship at the 64'
team selection trials at Winfield Kansas...it was my first FAI contest ever
and I left for home with my head swimming!...and brain screwed up for all
time! Welcome back...hope you can land a Seelig timer...or whatever will do
the job . Good luck! Bill Gieskieng

BlackMagic Timer cables
=======================

The cables supplied with the timer have a DB 9 connector that will
connect to a Palm Pilot cable. Theses cable can come from Palm or after
market suppliers. Some users want to elimimate the two DB 9 connectors
and joint the BlackMagic cable directlty to the Palm cable.

The colors of the internal wires in the Palm cable vary depending on the
supplier or model. In the Black magic cable there 3 conductors -
a white wire, a red wire and a bare wire earth connection.

To find the right wires to connect these to, look at the DB 9 connector
on the Palm cable. You should see very small number inside the shroud next
to each socket. You are looking for connetcor number 2,3 and 5.

Cut the Palm cable with at least 3 inches of wire on the DB 9 end. Strip back the wires
and use a contnuity tester to find which wires corresponds to pins 2, 3 and 5.
When you have done this note the colors. The strip back the wires on the
end that connects to the Palm. You will not use all the wires as only 3 are needed.

The white wire goes to connector 2, the red to connector 3 and the earth connection
to connector 5. When you have joined the wires make sure that they do not short with
each other or any of the unused wires. Insulated and protect the join.
