Hardy, I think the quote you are looking for is as follows: ""If you are
out to describe the truth, leave elegance to the tailor."(A. Einstien
circa 1930) In my humble interpretation, the truth need not be covered

Norcal was excellent weatherwise and lots of fun, too.
I did OK: 1sts in OT HLG & modern HLG, 2nds in F1H & Catapult
Glider. Problems in F1A---nuff said.
Jerry Fitch beat Walt in great, calm FO @ 7am Sun---492s vs 482s
respectively.
Brian VN beat Jon Davis a few minutes later. Pierre Brun beat
Peter Allnutt in a FO for 3rd & 4th.
Roger Simpson won F1C clean(only full house). Norn Poti came
out; didn't get back from long retrieval in time for 7th rd, so ended
with 6 maxes and zero in 7th. He got his bird back tho.
Hank Cole won F1G.
Jim Haught won F1J in FO with RK Simpson.
F1H was exciting for Martyn, Ernesto & me, as we went five FO
rds 'til after 5 pm before Martyn pipped me. A bunch of fun!
Sorry you weren't there.
Now I must splice on the new conn to see if all is right with the
world of my new bird!
Ciao, Lee

Who knows the Einstein remark, sometimes quoted...
'Elegant' is a mistake...or, an error. ? That thought.
and any elaboration by him..

Brokenspar

Dear Fractured One,

I'm highly suspicious of your motives here since I used that word
recently in SCAT and recieved scathing reviews. But I'll nibble a bit
on the bait.

Einstein might have come to that conclusion after being hired (circa
WWI )to design an 'elegant' airfoil meant to enhance Bernoulli's
principle. It was a bust,
not only in the Gottingen wind tunnel but when tried on an actual test
airplane. Alfred later confessed the idea to be one of his most naive,
if not dumbest, blunders. (For real!)

A quick Google search turned up the following:

'If you are out to describe the truth, leave elegance to the
tailor.' - Albert Einstein

No elaborations or context were offered.

nowadays? I heard that you are doing a lot better now economically? We are busy

here in Westeern Canada to produce gas and oil, which we have plenty of. Greeti

Dear Addressees,

I am a retired Indian Air Force Pilot & an Ex-Airline Captain. I am the owner
of SWIFT AvCon SERVICES, a consulting company dealing in aviation matters.
I have been entrusted the task of organising an Aeromodeling Event for the
promotion / publicity of Aermodeling / Aviation, in India during October 2001,
by Corporate Structuring & Consultancy Services, a MEDIA HR & an Event
Management company. The event is scheduled / planned for 13th & 14th
October, 2001. The venue in BOMBAY is yet to be decided as per the
requirements of Flying Models.

I am looking forward to all possible help by way of participation, display &
organising the event in INDIA. There has been a similar show last in
October 1993 at BOMBAY. The then Venue was the JUHU AERODROME adjacent to
BOMBAY INTERNATIONAL Airport.

I would greatly appreciate, if I am given the cost factor if any from the
participants, along with details of airplane models {( both static & flying
( Free & Motor - Remote controlled or otherwise)}. This will help me in
organising the Venue & getting necessary permissions etc. I would also like
to know more about the details of flights ( Aerobatic / Formation etc ),
performance details & that of static displays.

With your cooperation I hope to make this into an ANNUAL EVENT.

It is requested that this may be circulated freely for a good response
from your friends & enthusiasts.

Thanking you,

Sincerely,

Gopal
