Does anyone have an address for Paul Rowledge (of F1C supplies fame)
Somewhere in the UK, Wales ?
Those of you out there who flew at Taft 1979 might remember a NZ F1C
team member, Lynn Rodway. He's been in contact and is coming out of
retirement to fly again, he will notice a few changes, but yah hooo,
someone to fly with !!!!!!!!!!!!! My retirement letter a little while
ago seems to have produced some unexpected results, with promises of
more support from those who only fly occasionally.
Also, thankyou to those of you who offered help getting F1C equipment,
proves what a neat bunch FF'ers are !! Money is just a small part of
the problem, the main one being a lack of a domestic contest scene,
however, there is now a glimmer of light on the horizon. Hmm... where
did I put the cattle prodder ..................? Maybe I can get
these guys flying yet !!!

I've seen the proposals.
I'm against the removal of the 20 second attempt. This was tried before
and caused many problems and its sad to see it represented. The issue is
that this attempt allows the occasional disaster that does not spoil a
score, the pile in or the tow in with the last minute release, the failed
DPR ETC
I'm against 25 grams god we havn't even tried 30 yet! Lets give the 30 a
go first for a few years.
Re the flexible max. Good idea to flex the max according to the
conditions of weather and field (both the site and the flyers). I wrote
a couple of papers re the advantages of the idea see the NFFS symposium
and the BMFA reports.

To answer Dave Ackery;
You are NOT confused, the initial inquiry was for BUNT and other
internal lines for
fuselages. Don't think I would want to try to launch a modern bunter
with 0.3mm
steel cable(estimated 25lb test), would you?

A while back I thought that I would return to F1C flying and I bought two
Irvine .15's from George Aldrich. They include brakes, and have been worked
on by GMA, a superb engine man. I have since come to my senses and if
anyone expresses an interest in purchasing these never-been-run-engines I
would be happy to bring them to the 14 rounder. George is currently asking
$275 + $ 35 for the brake and I am willing to negotiate a much better
price.
Can anyone help me with some useful suggestions re 18/1 AR or better
F1B wings. I have build a couple recently and they do not perform as well
as my lower ratio wings. I am not sure about the section (borrowed from an
AA plan), and I tried one with/without a turbulator, and I think that the
non turbulated one works better???? I think that the idea is to have a
thinish section without much camber, but I'm not too sure I'm on the right
track and would appreciate some advice. How much variation in section and
twist occurs along the wing ideally?? This is a whole new ball game to me
and I need to play some serious catchup.

the model. I´m looking for a Verbitsky F1C engine and would like to know
how I can buy one and price etc. Maybe E. Verbitsky or friends to him read
this and can give me the information I´m looking for. Will you please drop
