RDT in the USA
==============

There are some issues in the USA to do with the correct use
of radio frequencies. Representatives of the Free Flight community are working
with the AMA and the AMA frequency commitee to come up with
a solution. We must have an approach that will not interfere with R/C
modellers and will maintain the excellent relationship that the AMA has
built up with the FCC over the years. Resolution of this issue is
critical if the AMA is to support any RDT initiatives to the FAI.
At this point there are some very positive approaches.

Steve Geraghty and Jason Gomes need a chase bike for the F.F. Nationals
in Muncie, IN. July 30 - August 3. If possible a Honda trail 90 or 110,
would be best; can use up to 100 X motocross bike. Well exchange usage
at F.F. Team Finals in October of our Honda XR 100. Contact

Roger

Ever since last fall when Jim Leuken coaxed me out to Elsinore and introduced
me to the Saturday morning breakfast club, I have just been having a blast
rekindling my interest in FAI free flight. The Max Men meet in February was
the first "big time" FAI meet I had flown in close to 20 years. I walked
around the entire weekend with a great big smile on my face, meeting new
friends, finding old ones & marvelling at all the unbelievable products and
components for sale.

I could not figure out how anybody could possibly be having more fun than me,
but every time I turned around, there was Jon Davis with a bigger grin than
mine. Now that I know he was having an interlude with his tow reel I have
the explanation I was looking for. Thanks for the humor Jon.

Hi everyone, Just got the update from Fresno. This is where the Northern
California Science Olympiad Regionals was held. Tokay High School won
the competition overall. They beat out 17 other high schools. The team
is now going to Washington for the Nationals in May. The kids did a
wonderful job and are excited about going to Spokane. They want to get
new airplanes built.

Thermals,
Larry Norvall
