Ossi Kilpellinen reports:
Weather was perhaps the best ever in Bear Cup: light
winds, temperature a couple of degrees below zero, partly
sunny. Just before fly-offs came some clouds over area
and with them lift which lasted to the sun set. So we
had to share winning points in F1A after long flights.
The forecast for sunday morning was not good enough for
10 minutes fly-off, and so it turned out to be: heavy
snowing and poor visibility.

Possible Sterling Price Corruption

Roger,
Thanks for getting the BMFA Forum Report info and my item on
Japanese tissue on the Sources page. However, I see that every one of the
sterling prices on both of these has somehow got a '3' put in before the
correct price, e. g. stg 37.50 instead of 7.50. It might put a few people
off; is there any chance of correcting this please? Alternatively, if
anyone pays the price plus 30 pounds we could split the profit...
Thermals,
Martin
[sorry about that Martin - I've fixed it now]
Tan2 - Feb 99
=============
I just got my box of Tan2 Feb 99. The scuttlebut is that
its the best since July 97 -The energy is almost as good
as a good bit of July. It stretchier, that means that
a 26 strand motor for the followers of AA will probably not work.
FAI got it about the time of the Max Men. the shipment
was qyite big but a lot of people were getting very low so
I would expect it to go quite quickly.
SF Bay Area Contest Schedules
=============================
Roger,
Michael Schuh works at NASA Ames and got involved with me and George
Xenakis with the indoor flying at Moffett Fields' Hangar #1.
He has created a web site which includes info on local free flight
flying in the Bay Area.
For those interested in the schedules and would like to be
included while on business or passing through, his web site can
be accessed at: http://www.boardsailor.com
He may include the Nor Cal schedule at a later date. Fred Terzian
