You can't keep a good man down !?
==================================
Seen at Lost Hills for the FF Champs was Bob Waterman - It seems
that Bob's foray into the Auto Biz, while sucessful moneywise
had one big snag in that it restricted his weekend activities.
It appears that Bob has decided to rectify this situation so is
changing his job and moving to Bakersfield. He was looking
at that the latest F1C stuff so he will be
joining Doug Joyce in the ranks of the local
professional F1C sportsmen.

I'm looking again. Last time it was for Canada, this time Florida. Would
someone care to share car-rental, and perhaps, motel expenses? I'm arriving
in Orlando on Dec 27 and leaving on Jan 1. A quick check of car rentals
showed that they are very expensive during this period...about $60 per day
for a small one. Jim Bradley suggested a U-Haul van at $19.95 per day + 25
cents per mile (Orlando is about 100 miles from Palm Bay). If there is
someone who's schedule is compatible with mine, I would be delighted to
start communications about arrangements.
Another possiblity is hooking up with someone who has or is bringing a car
or van to the KO. I have two offers for anyone who wants to pick me up at
the airport, provide transportation to the KO and drop me off in time to
make my early am Jan 1 return: $100 cash or a reciprocal arrangement for
any contest at Muncie....if you can get to O'hare airport in Chicago. phone
847-945-9225.

I think the E mail that Lee Hines & Mike Acherberg sent this morning
11/5/1999 may have a virus on it that talks about cash and making $241
on anyone that opens it. I had to reboot my computer after opening it
to clean it up.

[Terry based on the premis that any thing that sounds
to good to be true [like getting money from Microsoft!] is too good
to be true. I always trash that kind of mail. We do not include that kind
of mail in the material we publish.]

Can anyone tell me if the side winder rubber motor winders are still
available. I appeared to have misplaced or lost mine since the last
time I used it was when Bill Cushingberry was still alive. I was flying
my lamb climber that day with him at Taft.

[John Morrill still makes the winder. I think that
Al Heinreich at Aerodyne and John Clapp at FAI
Model Supply both stock it in the USA. ]

I'm new at the net and I'm looking to travel to distant contests for the
first time next summer. When will the FF NATS happen at Muncie ? Will there
be other events like SAMS during that time ? Also, I have heard about a
contest in October in Pensacola FL where they may have a SAMS Champs at the
same time. Can you tell me about thta ? Where will the East Coast FF Champs
be held next summer ? Will they be in Maryland or at Rocky Hill CT ? ---Don
