From Vol Libre

Article by Fred Terzian and plan of Stan Buddenbohm's Mini-Master. Say
Stan when are you coming out with the Nordic version to beat those
Czechmates !

From Smithsonian Air and Space Magazine

In an article about the Dryden Flight Test Center at Edwards. A photo of
the AeroVironment Pathfinder has what looks like the Cowley chase bike
pressed into service following the airplane the ground. Probably Martyn
on the bike. Very complimentary article for AeroVironment.

At the Tustin Hanger
====================

I went to the Tustin blimp hanger to see how the rest of the world lives ,
well rather a small part lives. F1D WC Steve Brown and Bob Randolph
were tuning up for the upcoming WC in Roumania. Apparantly the
temperature in the salt mines precludes the use of vp props. Steve and I
compared notes on the latest rubber. He agreed with our outdoor findings
that the Jul 97 is a whole lot better than the October or December. It must
be something where the torque is because it seems to be out of proportion
with the 'numbers' for the rubber. The rubber's fragility is a bigger
problem for them because if they break a strand it's toast. There is some
question as to how long that hanger will be available, but for now it's an
incredible site. I am considering doing some indoor glide testing of my
F1Bs there. The place is so big that I can easily keep out of the way of the
serious indoor flyers.
