I just read the Feb. 3 FAI Report. The Oregon Contest referred to is:
The Northwest Free Flight Championships.
Held at Parker's Field, 7 miles South of Albany, OR and 2 miles East of
Interstate 5.
The Dates: August 15 &16, 1998
This meet has a full complement of AMA and Nostalgia events plus some local
specialties.

The field is a Cat. II site situated on local grassfields which have just been
harvested. Motorcycles are OK (with usual admonisments about fences and local
farmers). Weather tends to be warm with temps in the 80s to 90s. Wind is
typically calm in the AM with speed increasing in the PM to 10 mph or so.
Rain is unusual in August.
