Mushrooms at the Max Men
------------------------

I saw a a lot of wild mushrooms at the field at the Max Men, probably
the result of the excess moisture. I have a concern: Are these
mushrooms indicative of greater spore activity? Since Valley Fever is
transmitted by spore-laden dust, is there a greater than usual risk
later in the year of contracting Valley Fever once the ground dries out
and the wind blows?

February Rubber
==============

FAI Model Supply has a new batch of Tan 2 , the February batch. The
objective with this batch as to make it between the October and Jul 97 in
terms of energy return. Preliminary reports indicate that this is the case. It
energy return is the higher than October or December 97. The shape of the
torque curve is the same as for July 97. The rubber is probably not quite as
robust as October, but is not as fragile as July. Being the winter time we
do not know what it will do in hot weather.

Down Under Rubber
================

John Clapp of FAI Model Supply is planning on going to the two World

would like indication from local modellers how much they would like.
