John---
I wholeheartedly agree with your assessment of "trash" being left around
at our flying sites. For many of us, it may not seem significant to
leave broken rubber and balsa remains at the flying site, knowing that
the effects of the sun and typical weather conditions will eventually
break this stuff down (not so with carbon and fiberglass props).
However, in the long run, it could seriously jeopardize our ability to
retain or procure flying sites.
How difficult is it for us to pick up and dispose of our trash after a
full or partial session of flying? In the long run, our actions (or lack
of them) will determine our fate.
Maybe Roger could publish a reminder in the SCAT website for thos
planning to attend the Annual (and future contests) to bring along
plastic garbage bags to do a general cleanup. However, I have not seen
garbage bags large enough to remove any of the cars left behind at the
1/2 Fourteen Rounder! Fred T.

P.S.
I noticed a glossy color brochure from Union Models in Japan (mainly
indoor and sport scale kit lines) that showed a box of FAI's Tan II
rubber and its availability from them!
Way to go! :)

.. and a more light heated comment from Norm ..

Are you sure John's just not afraid that the TanII will take root and
reproduce itself? Then John would have to find another business!?
If we're lucky, it will feed off of itchicus crotchicus.
