The World Free Flight Champs – Lost Hills California October 2019
These are contests for Free Flight Model airplanes, those that fly with out Radio Control. The World Champs has teams up upto 9 sportsmen from over 40 countries representing their country. There are 3 events Glider, Rubber powered and Gas powered models. These are high tech aircraft made of traditional and modern composite materials . A typical airplane has a wingspan of about 2 meters. These are the best flyers in the world flying the of this type of airplane. The competition days are 18, 19 and 20 October
Surrounding the World Champs events are 3 World Cup events. These are for the same kind of model but unlike the Champs where the team are selected by each participating country the World Cup events are open and any flyer can take part. Here you will see some of the World Champs flyers taking part along with many other from around the World . They are called World Cup because there is a trophy at the end of the year for the people who do best over the whole year in these World Cup events, that are held in many counties through out the World.
All of these events are held at Lost Hills except for the last 2 World Cup events that will be held at a site in Nevada just south of Las Vegas
